Silvia is a Redken trained Master Colorist, Youtube content creator, educator and former Redken Brand ambassador. Born in Portugal and raised in California, beach coastal culture has always been an organic influence on Silvia’s approach to hair color and style; Bringing you California Cool + Buttery Blondes, whether in the salon or through her easy-to-follow educational content on Youtube.

Silvia and her Danish – producing partner, photographer husband Adam, launched ellebangs on YouTube in 2011, combining their talents to bring you a leading digital destination for beauty tips, tutorials and easy to digest DIY hair color advice from a licensed master colorist.

Silvias success on social media caught the attention of the professional hair world and put her talent front and center early on in her career. It allowed her opportunities to work as an ambassador with some of the best brands in the world. She was a contestant on season one of the TV show “American beauty star” She has filmed hair-styling segments with E! Entertainment for the Oscars in Hollywood, and her videos have been seen more than 100 million times on YouTube and featured in TV shows such as Mrs Fletcher on HBO, Starring Kathrine Hahn.

In 2020 during COVID-19, Silvia started offering ‘at home’ virtual consultations to her audience. One-on-one hair-advice via Zoom, to help anyone achieve their dream hair while staying safe at home. This was hugely popular among her subscribers so when the world started to open back up, Silvia decided to continue to offer this service to anyone who could use a little one-on-one guidance to help achieve their hair dreams.
